Neuromuscular Therapy - is a system of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) with the structure of the musculoskeletal system. NMT considers five principles that cause pain:

1. Postural distortion - muscular imbalance resulting from the body's movement off the coronal, midsagittal, and horizontal planes in attempts to compensate for the pull of gravity.
2. Biomechanical dysfunction - musculoskeletal imbalance caused by habitual faulty movement or repetitive strain.
3. Soft Tissue causes of these patterns and presenting pain conditions - Ischemia - lack of blood flow to soft tissues which typically cause sensitivity to touch.
4. Trigger points - rapid firing of nerve impulses into areas of the body which may be far from the actual site of pain.
5. Nerve compression or entrapment - pressure on a nerve from bone, cartilage, or soft tissue. Nerve entrapment is the most common type of pain and always causes ischemia.

30 | 60 | 90 minutes

Structural Integration "Rolfing" - This is very deep and powerful work which helps release long held patterns of tensions by realigning the body's structure. This therapy greatly enahnces your physical well-being by improving postural balance as well as significantly improving your range of motion. Each session has its own set of unique goals and builds from the first session to the last. For this work to be complete, it requires a commitment of 10 weekly sessions in total. 105 minutes - $165 per session or $1650 for all ten sessions.

Lymphatic Drainage - Very light and nurturing skin-deep pressure that promotes 8-10 times faster lymph circulation. This treatment strengthens the health by supporting the immune system and helping the body fight foreign invaders, like bacterial and viral infections.
It reduces edema by helping drain excess fluids, rejuvenates the body by helping it to flush out toxins - which in turn reduces cellulite, acne breakouts, promotes faster recovery time from injuries, reduces stretch marks and restores healthy skin.
Excellent for pregnant women in their second and third trimester. 30 | 60 | 90 | 120 minutes

Tui Na Therapeutic Massage
- Tui Na is an ancient form of Chinese Medical Massage and is well known throughout China as an essential therapy within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).Tui Na is used to treat a wide variety of ailments and conditions: from musculoskeletal pain (low back, sciatica, sore/tired muscles, or trauma) to internal issues (such as mental distress, migraines, digestive or respiratory problems). As one of the four branches of TCM, Tui Na has worked closely with its sister therapies (Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Qi Gong) throughout history in the East. Tui Na is a great preventative measure for the potential breakdown of mental, emotional, or physical health and is a practical, functional modality that will fit any lifestyle since the client is typically fully clothed. It could easily supplement any aspect of the various health and medical systems today. Used to manipulate and revive soft tissue while stimulating or activating Qi meridians, our vital source of energy, via acupoints throughout the body, Tui Na also incorporates a variety of hand techniques, traction, stretches, and range of motion. Tui Na (meaning push grasp) is fast and effective whether applied in a soft soothing manner to promote rest and relaxation or in an aggressive, invigorating fashion to energize the body spirit connection and clear stagnate energy.

Hara (Abdominal Massage)
- is the Japanese approach to abdominal massage. Many Eastern cultures have incorporated abdominal massage into their medical practices for thousands of years, and many medical systems in the West have discovered the importance of a healthy colon. Studies have shown that an unhealthy colon is the source of countless degenerative diseases, fatigue, digestive problems, and toxicity. Hara is used to encourage free flowing movement and activity in the digestive tract by alleviating tension, bloating or pain by clearing blockages in the bowels. 30 | 60 minutes

Thai Table Massage - Traditional Thai Massage elevated to the table. Ideal for those who feel more comfortable on a massage table. Includes acupressure, range of motion tests, yoga-like stretches and breathwork. Activate and balance Sen energy lines. The session is performed while the client is wearing work-out/yoga clothes. 30 | 60 | 90 minutes

Traditional Thai Mat Massage
- Beginning from the ancient traditions of India & Thailand, the medium of Traditional Thai Massage incorporates assisted movement, undulations, and rhythmic compressions of the musculature and fluid substance of the body, in combination with meditation to allow to relax, rejuvenate and revitalize. The art of Traditional Thai Massage can relieve you from stress and insomnia, cleanse your lymphatic system, detoxify your liver, balance the duties of heart and mind, enhance your creativity, and develop or strengthen will power. The facilitator work on strengthening your nervous system, glandular system and immune system (your physical bodies and subtle bodies) to help the body maintain homeostasis. Dubbed "the lazy man's yoga," due to its symbiotic relationship with India's yoga systems, you will find it an invaluable companion for all of life's adventures and for deepening your yoga practice. Zen Shiatsu
- A form of bodywork which combines a finely-tuned intuition with a thorough understanding of the bodymind. In Zen Shiatsu the therapist uses their hands, thumbs, fingers, forearms, knees, and feet with the recipient lying in various positions. Techniques involve stretching, holding, and leaning relaxed body weight into various parts of the reciepient's body to improve energy flow, blood circulation, flexibility and posture. Pressure is applied to all parts of the body along specific pathways (meridians) to restore the balanced flow. From the Western point of view, shiatsu works directly to calm the autonomic nervous system, which has the effect of calming nervous distress and increasing resistance to stress. By helping with blood and lymph circulation in the body, shiatsu helps to maintain and improve muscle tone, healthy internal organ functions, and strengthen the immune system. Regular and consistent treatments can become an important aspect of preventive health care as well as treatment for existing symptoms. Zen Shiatsu is ideally performed while the recipient is dressed comfortably with light clothing and lies on a futon on the floor, allowing the practitioner access from all sides. No massage oils or lotions are used or needed because the practitioner does not slide along the body surface, but gives a series of presses along the pathways.

Energy Healing
Energy Healing is sometimes referred to as hands-on healing or healing work. Its purpose is to specifically address and help remove energy blocks in the physical body and energy field and help restore and promote harmonious energy flow. As science knows by now, all matter - including the physical body - is energy and the more harmoniously the energy flows throughout the body, the greater ease and well-being one experiences.

Kokoro Reiki - is a combination of traditional Usui Reiki and modern energy healing practices. While resting comfortably on a table, the Reiki practioner allows healing energy to flow from the Universal Source through the practioner to your body. The energy is directed to go where it can perform the necessary healing. Most people compare an hour of Reiki to several hours of rejuvenating sleep. Kokoro Reiki can be used for general relaxation, emotional balancing, or to address specific physical, mental or emotional patterns. 30 | 60 minutes

ThetaHealing - combines theta brain wave techniques with collaborative conversation for personal and spiritual development. During a session we get to the root of belief systems, patterns of thoughts, and ways of being that are no longer serving the client. With intuitive guidance, we move past any perceived blocks one may have in an effortless and gentle manner. When we discover how our behaviors are deeply woven into us, we are then able to rewire ourselves in ways that align us with our personal power and ability to reach our goals.Thetahealing will leave you feeling vibrant, empowered, more confident, and better in touch with your highest self and purpose. 60 minutes - $125

Cranial Sacral Therapy -The craniosacral system (cranio means head and sacral refers to the area at the base of the spine) includes the brain and spinal cord. They are bathed in a craniosacral fluid that has a rhythmic pulse similar to blood pressure. The therapist senses the pulse with light pressure and looks for any subtle restrictions in the flow of craniosacral fluid. Restrictions are believed to be the cause of poor health, especially conditions related to the brain, spine, and nervous system. Craniosacral has been know to reduce migraines, headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and stress-related disorders. 30 | 60 minutes

Jin Shin Acutouch is a sacred healing art that was rediscovered in the Shinto Temples of Japan by Master Jiro Murai in 1912. It is considered the “Mother of All Healing Arts” and is thought to be the forerunner of all natural healing arts and folk medicine. This Art was buried in the Shinto temples of Japan in an effort to keep the treasured knowledge secret and intact. It offers techniques specific for treatment of chronic conditions and other types of physical and psychological problems. These approaches are appropriate for working closely with the Western medical model and its relationship to Asian energetic healing models, such as acupuncture. The purpose of this gentle healing touch is to use the energy anatomy of the body to activate the body’s own healing response, restoring it to balance and health. 90 minutes

Alternative Medicine
Healing Therapies

Chi Cupping - Cupping is widely used throughout the world as a way of removing or circulating areas of congestion and stagnation. It is an excellent treatment for those who have recently contracted a cold or flu and for muscle tension throughout the body. In cupping, a partial vacuum is created with jars which are applied to the skin, drawing up the underlying tissues and blood stasis. This method has been very effective in treating consumptive and rheumatic diseases for centuries. Originally, cups were made of bamboo or animal horn until ceramic, iron and brass cups were developed. Today, cups made of glass or plastic are the most common. 30 minutes - $55

Reflexology - stimulation of foot reflex points promotes  improved circulation, reduces stress, and encourages healing. 30 minutes - $50 | 45 minutes - $75

Meridian Massage and Yin Yoga - This is a massage and yoga combined service. Half of the time will be spent doing Meridian Massage and the other half will be spent doing Yin Yoga. Meridian Massage was inspired from Traditional Chinese Medicine and uses techniques that stem from Tui Na and Shiatsu. The massage therapist will apply pressure and movement to various acupressure points and move your body through gentle stretches. These techniques calm the nervous system and restores energy. The strength and flow of the meridian system is essential for the harmonious balance in our body and mind. This is a customizable massage so you can receive a therapeutic or relaxation approach. The Yin Yoga part to this service is an opportunity to have a private yoga lesson. The postures are all gentle and stationary designed to be held for 1 to 5 minutes each depending on the students skill level. Each pose has a unique, therapeutic effect associated with specific meridians. Yin Yoga is a meditative experience and has a wide range of healing qualities such as: releasing deep emotional blockages, connecting to ones breath awareness, nourishing Yin qualities in the body (ligaments, tendons, bone and other connective tissue) and stimulating the meridian channels thus balancing ones Chi (life force). There are pillows and bolsters provided. All poses are positioned on the floor. Please wear yoga clothes for this service and bring a towel.
